The 30-year-old netted against Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday to take him to yet another milestone and move within touching distance of the club's all-time record
Real Madrid and Spanish newspaper Marca actually claimed that Ronaldo had reached the 300-goal landmark with his fifth in the 9-1 win over Granada on Sunday since both still count a strike by Pepe against Real Sociedad in 2011 as being the striker's goal, despite officials confirming the defender as the scorer.
The 30-year-old is the third highest scorer in Real Madrid's long history, with only Alfredo Di Stefano's 308 and Raul's 323 bettering Ronaldo's current haul.
Ronaldo had earlier been unjustly booked for diving and is set to be suspended for one match as a result.
